IRON NEST Beginner Guide: Your First Firing Solution

IRON NEST is easier to understand when you stop treating it like a shooter. You are an operator turning an order into a firing solution, one instrument at a time.

The operator loop

1. Receive the target information.
2. Identify the target type and priority.
3. Plot the target on the tactical map.
4. Measure range and bearing.
5. Use the ballistic calculator for charge and elevation.
6. Load the matching ammunition and powder charges.
7. Set the turret's bearing and elevation, fire, and assess the result.

Read before touching the controls

An order may contain coordinates, a bearing, a distance or a reference to a spotter. Preserve the original message. Mission information can be needed again later, and the game does not automatically plot every clue for you.

Match the shell to the target

The official store advertises a combined total of 30 ammunition types and abilities. That does not mean every round is interchangeable. Read the target report first, then choose the tool. When the target, ammunition or propellant charge changes, calculate again.

Correct a miss methodically

Do not change several variables at once. Check the map measurement, selected propellant charge, calculator output, turret bearing, and elevation in that order. Reconnaissance photos can help assess the fall of shot when they cover the real target area.

• Measure instead of guessing.
• Recalculate after changing shell or charge.
• Load the powder charges that match the solution.
• Treat mission coordinates as dynamic, not universal answers.
