Request scout-plane support, set a useful flight line and interpret aerial photographs without treating them as automatic target markers.
Aerial reconnaissance provides additional evidence rather than an automatic firing solution. You still decide where the aircraft should look and how the resulting photograph changes your map work.
Requesting support
The official FAQ confirms that the Requisition Console can request air-reconnaissance support. A full-release community troubleshooting thread reports that the card is inserted into the order slot and configured with the control below it.
Setting a useful flight line
In the community-reported interface, the coordinate and heading settings appear to define the scout plane's starting point and flight direction. A photograph only helps if the flight line covers the suspected target area.
Reading the photograph
Use visible terrain, impacts and structures as localization clues. If the image does not cover the expected location, correct the flight line rather than assuming the mission is broken.
